PA Sports, based in Bury, has undergone a stunning transformation with the establishment of a cutting-edge indoor sports center. Featuring four generously sized bays, the facility has been expertly designed to support diverse sporting activities.
Our dedicated team carried out an on-site visit to PA Sports, embodying our commitment to meticulous planning and effective problem-solving. This visit provided an opportunity to collaborate with club and school members, address potential challenges, and craft a comprehensive logistical strategy. This preparatory step ensured a smooth execution, covering every detail, from flooring to net installations, to deliver exceptional quality.
This case study illustrates the conversion of a historic mill into a vibrant indoor cricket facility, demonstrating the strategic process of turning an existing structure into a state-of-the-art venue. 1. Foundations & Shock Padding
The decision to integrate shock padding during the installation process reflected a deep understanding of its effectiveness in maintaining top-tier performance, enhancing safety, and prolonging the facility’s longevity.
Shock padding plays a dual role by minimizing wear and tear on the facility while also safeguarding the foundational structure from gradual degradation. In addition to its structural advantages, it provides essential cushioning for the playing surface. This impact-absorbing feature reduces strain on players’ joints and muscles, significantly lowering the risk of injuries, particularly those affecting the knees and ankles, ensuring a safer and more comfortable playing experience.
2. Non-Turf Surfacing
After the successful installation of shock padding, our attention shifted to laying a custom-designed non-turf surface, tailored specifically for indoor bowling. This specialized surface not only elevates the playing experience but also works in harmony with the shock pad’s protective qualities.
Our team executed this phase with precision, ensuring a flawless integration of the indoor non-turf surface. This meticulous approach further strengthened the foundation for an exceptional cricketing environment at PA Sports, setting new standards for performance and safety.
3. Netting
To uphold our commitment to precision in every project, our team carefully applied lane markings using specialized white paint. This paint, designed for quick drying and resistance to wear, ensures long-lasting durability even with frequent use.
After the markings were completed, a final round of meticulous cleaning was conducted, including thorough vacuuming to remove any remaining dust or debris. With the scaffolding cleared and every detail inspected, the installation reached its successful conclusion.
This achievement reflects our team’s dedication to delivering high-quality results. Despite being based over three hours away, their efficiency and commitment ensured the timely and seamless completion of the PA Sports facility, setting a new standard for excellence.
